Patriot Ambulance Service, Inc. Announces Open House at New 24 Hour Ambulance Station in Marathon Township

Patriot Ambulance Service, Inc. will be hosting an open house on July 19th from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at its new location in Lapeer. “With our new 24 hour station in Marathon Township we have filled the gap in service left behind when Lapeer County EMS redefined their Emergency Response Zones to exclude Marathon Township” stated Jim Grady, Operations Director for Patriot Ambulance Service. Patriot Ambulance has set up its operation at 4890 Columbiaville Rd. in Marathon Township. The new station will operate at the Advanced Life Support level.  All of Patriot’s Paramedics are licensed through the State of Michigan and hold certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support through the American Heart Association." We are very excited about being a part of the Lapeer County 911 family” stated Shirley Burchett, Chief Executive Officer of Patriot.

Patriot Ambulance Service is accredited through the Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services (CAAS) for its compliance with national standards of excellence.  To date there are only 144 ambulance services across the United States that have successfully achieved the Commission’s accreditation. Patriot Ambulance Service also offers the residents of Marathon Township a low cost medical alert unit called the Patriot P.A.L. (personal assistance line) The Patriot P.A.L is capable of alerting our dispatch center when an emergency arises and contacting neighbors, relatives, friends, and if needed emergency services.  “We noticed a need for low cost medical alert units after identifying several patients that needed the service, but were unable afford the high cost of national providers” stated Jay Johnson, Director of Marketing.
